July 24, 2023 –The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Inpatient Prospective Payment System (IPPS) Final Rule for 2024 is coming, and arriving with it are a series of important updates that will impact providers across the nation and ultimately the bottom line. The 2024 annual IPPS Summit, a hallmark of the Palooza, will take place from Tuesday, Aug. 15 through Thursday, Aug. 17. The first session in the ICD10monitor 2024 IPPS Summit will guide professionals through FY24 changes to ICD-10-CM. This includes updates to Social Determinants of Health (SDoH) along with CC designation and revisions to the Medicare Code Editor (MCE).
The second session will feature a review of the FY24 changes to ICD-10-PCS codes and approximately 50 new applications for the New Technology Add-On Payment (NTAP) status that will impact reimbursement. The final session will guide professionals through the FY24 changes to the MS-DRG methodology and New Technology Add-On Payments (NTAPs), as well as identify which MS-DRG changes and NTAPs items were adopted in the Final Rule and help to inform transition plans for the 2024 fiscal year.
